  • From the motel, head north on Highway 436 for 12 kilometres (just over 10 minutes drive).
  • As you arrive in L’Anse aux Meadows, there will be clearly marked signs directing you to L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site and Norstead Viking Village.
  • When leaving St. Anthony, go approximately 7 km out of town on Highway 430.
  • Turn right onto Highway 436.
  • Travel approximately 15 km.
  • St. Brendan’s Motel (located in St. Lunaire-Griquet) will be on the right.
  • When leaving St. Anthony Airport, turn left on to Highway 430.
  • Travel approximately 41 km.
  • Turn left onto Highway 436.
  • Travel approximately 15 km.

  • When leaving St. Barbe, turn left on to Highway 430 (The Viking Trail).
  • Travel approximately 104 km.
  • Turn left onto Highway 436.
  • Travel approximately 15 km.

  • When leaving Deer Lake Airport, turn right on to the Trans Canada Highway.
  • Once in Deer Lake, follow signs for Highway 430 (The Viking Trail) heading north.
  • Travel approximately 400 km.
  • Turn left onto Highway 436.
  • Travel approximately 15 km.
  • St. Brendan’s Motel (located in St. Lunaire-Griquet) will be on the right.
  • When leaving Port aux Basques, take the Trans Canada Highway north to Deer Lake.
  • Once in Deer Lake, follow signs for Highway 430 (The Viking Trail) heading north.
  • Travel approximately 400 km.
  • Turn left onto Highway 436.
  • Travel approximately 15 km.
  • St. Brendan’s Motel (located in St. Lunaire-Griquet) will be on the right.
  • When leaving St. John’s, take the Trans Canada Highway west to Deer Lake.
  • Once in Deer Lake, follow signs for Highway 430 (The Viking Trail) heading north.
